Roman Reigns: Legit Superstar or "Shield"'ed by the Company?

So, what is the big deal about Roman Reigns?

   Roman Reigns, the man that suddenly seems to be the new direction of the WWE. A lot of fans are not happy with this move and are questioning what the company is really thinking. What happened to the Dolph Ziggler push we started seeing at The Survivor Series this past year? What happened with Daniel Bryan's comeback and return to the top? It appears that they have been placed on the back burner for now, I mean after all, they portrayed John Cena as a smaller weaker man against the likes of Brock Lesnar so why would Bryan or Ziggler have a chance against him right? 

  Reigns broke his way into the business in the developmental area in 2010. At the time it was Florida Championship Wrestling which WWE owned and later changed name to NXT as we know it today. He spent 2 years there before being brought up to the WWE main roster along with Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins forming the shield in 2012.

  Now don't get me wrong, The Sheild even though heels at the time were quickly accepted by the fans. But after the split up of the group some people question the direction the company has taken them. My question is why? I havent heard any grumblings really about Seth Rollins being Mr. Money in the Bank and hand picked to represent The Authority. I didnt hear any grumblings over Dean Ambrose getting main event pushes on Raw going after Rollins and then Bray Wyatt. So why the animosity against Reigns? Is it because he is just another muscle bound guy being forced in front of you because he is big? The fans cheered him strong before his injury took him out. The fans are 50/50 on Cena these days and say they are tired of him but can Ziggler or Bryan really be the face of the company?? Brock Lesnar is a part time champion at best, he rarely wrestles.

  If there is one thing I can say that I don't like hearing, it's when a wrestler throws his family name out there. We already know his bloodline. Maybe that is the problem that most fans are having with him. We had the Rock for a lot of years and he was entertaining. Great on the mic and great matches. Reigns talks with the trash talking ability of a 6th grader. I'm just waiting for the day he "triple dog dares" someone on Monday Night Raw. We get force fed a lot of Reigns and The Usos and there needs to be some better use of the roster's talents to help keep the interest of the fans. What talent you ask?

• Jack Swagger
• Cesaro
• Tyson Kid
• Curtis Axel
• Kofe' Kingston
• Sin Cara
• Damien Sandow

  There are others I am sure I left off but the point is there is talent to use. Bring out a new belt for singles. Bring back the World TV Title again and have it defended weekly on Raw or Smackdown. Bring in more tag teams and expand that area and have 2 tag team belts. NWA had the world & US tag team champs so why can't the WWE? 

  A part of me can't be mad at Roman Reigns cause he is taking advantage of the opportunity given to him and being placed there for us to cheer, but, the company needs to fix this situation or he will find himself not liked for a long time to come by the WWE Universe. At no fault of his own. Remember that next time you want to boo & hiss at him as he walks to the ring.
